I am an incoming Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Government and with the Gender and Security Sector Lab at Cornell University, starting in July 2024. I received my Ph.D. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2024. I completed an MA in Political Science from McGill University, Canada, and a Bachelor (Hons.) in International Relations from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

My primary research interests include interstate conflict, security cooperation, civil-military relations, and anti-government resistance. My dissertation assesses the role of international security cooperation in domestic politics, focusing on elite defection and anti-government armed uprisings. I am also interested in applying deep learning methods in natural language processing (NLPs), including large language models (LLMs), to understand political violence.
